You’re probably wondering, what is a pocket bike? Pocket bikes (a.k.a. mini motos) are really not “minibikes” in the traditional sense, they are miniature GP racing motorcycles. Minibikes typically have a 4-stroke lawnmower motor and are constructed less inexpensively than pocket bikes. Pocket bikes are made of high-tech alloy materials. They have a 2-stroke high performance engine, racing tires, disc brakes, and can reach speeds of 35-50+ mph. These bike are mainly Italian crafted machines that are 100% accurate in respect to their relationship to full scale GP motorcycles. On average pocket bikes are 3 feet long, 2 feet high, and a foot wide. These bikes weigh about 50lbs. They are true works of art. Pocket bike racing is one of least expensive racing sports available. Maintenance and replacement parts are very inexpensive. Transporting your pocket bike is as easy as putting it in your backseat or your trunk, no additional transporting equipment is needed.

Pocket bikes can be raced in parking lots or on Kart tracks. Regardless if you choose to race with friends in a parking lot or enter a pocket bike racing circuit, pocket bike racing is one of the fastest growing motor sports in the world. Pocket bikes are suitable for riders all ages. From 6 years old to 99 years there is no age limit. Children racing pocket bikes are limited to much lower horse power pocket bikes. Children’s pocket bikes are required to have restrictions on the engines to lower the speeds to very safe riding levels.

Pocket bike racing is such a great way for parents and children to spend inexpensive quality time together. For instance, an adult can take a 6.2 hp pocket bike and enter a race. As soon as the race is over, the adult simply places a restrictor plate on the bike to lower the horsepower and have the child race the same bike in the next race!! You are almost guaranteed to have a blast with your very own pocket bike! Take a look at the quality merchants below and browse their extensive selection of pocket bikes.
